When teaching preschool and kindergarten children about Thanksgiving, it is always fun for them to dress up like the Pilgrims and the Indians while eating their classroom Thanksgiving feast. This article is to provide instructions that will enable a small child, with adult assistance, to create an Indian vest out of a paper bag. Step 1 Measure and cut. Turning the bag upside down, roughly cut out holes for the child’s head and arms. Cut a vertical opening for the vest starting from the hole for the head, down to the opening of the bag.
