You can make your own papier mache mask to complement a costume or to hang as a piece of art. You probably have all the necessary ingredients and tools on hand, making this a good project for rainy days or to alleviate summer boredom. Step 1 Choose a bowl that is similar in size to your face; a bowl without a lip on the bottom for stability works best. Lay it upside down on a covered work surface and wrap it in plastic food wrap. Step 2 Tear newspaper into 1 inch by 3 inch strips, approximately. Set nearby so you can easily reach them. Step 3 Mix 1 part flour to 1 part water in a large mixing bowl.
