How Do You Make A Potted Water Garden?
Water gardens bring the relaxing sounds and sights of nature to your back yard or deck. Even if you are short on space and don’t have room to create an in-ground water garden, a potted water garden is ideal for the deck or small yards. These delightful container gardens have the added advantage of being mobile, allowing you to change the location of the water feature to suit your needs. Choose a sunny or partially shady location for your water garden. Select a waterproof container to hold your water garden. Many use half barrels, but a plastic tub will work well. The size of the container will depend on the available space. Determine the plants you would like to include in your water garden (see Resources). Generally, you should include taller plants for the back and side and shorter plants near the front. Include one or two floating plants, such as waterlilies, to complete the arrangement.
