It is easy to make a coned-shaped Princess hat. A hat like this can be used as a topper for a Halloween costume or just used for everyday dressing up for your favorite little girl. Here is a picture of a few things you will need to use. Use a string attached to a pencil to draw a 16″ diameter quarter sized circle onto a large size of stiff paper or poster board. Use a piece of tape to attach one end to the table at the corner of the paper to help hold it in place. Make sure to keep your pencil straight up and down as you draw from one side of the paper to the other. Cut out the quarter sized circles following the lines you have drawn. If you want to cover the cone shape with either construction paper or cloth, repeat this step making the covering 1/4 to 1/2 inch larger than your base cone shape.
