Halloween pumpkin totem poles are fun and easy to make, and make a wonderful spooky addition to your yard at Halloween. They’re also a great way to spend a fall afternoon. Release your inner creativity, grab a couple of kids and head for the pumpkin patch! Cut the stems off three of your four pumpkins with a sharp knife. Leave the stem on the pumpkin that will top your Halloween totem pole. Take your length of rebar and place it against the bottom of your top pumpkin. Tap it in with the hammer, to make a hole. Pull it out, and set the top pumpkin aside. Hollow out and carve your pumpkins, or leave them whole and decorate the outsides after you’ve completed the next two steps. Stack the other three pumpkins, and have someone hold them steady. Place the length of iron rebar on the top of the top pumpkin, and hammer it through and into the ground to anchor them together. Leave enough sticking out of the top to anchor your fourth pumpkin. Add your fourth pumpkin to the top. Now you’re read
