I have a rain barrel that is made from a used food grade 55 gallon plastic barrel (drum). As mentioned in the comments, it is very heavy and durable. There are places online where you can order them, but they are more expensive that way. In my town, they are available for purchase at a farm and garden store for $25 each. They come with two small round openings on the top with caps. One was removed for the water inlet. At the bottom a hole was drilled in the barrel and a standard metal water spiggot was inserted and sealed. A hose is attached so I can water directly from the barrel.
