Sangrias are delicious summer wine drinks made with liquors, fresh fruit, and juice. They are usually served at parties in a pitcher with ice. This sangria is made with a Cabernet Sauvignon and Red Apple liqueur. Fill the pitcher half-full with ice. Add the red wine, red apple liquor, fruit juice, and soda. Stir until the outside of the pitcher has become very cold. Add the grenadine. Grenadine is very heavy so it can be poured on top and quickly become mixed throughout the entire drink. Sangria always has fruit in it, that’s part of the idea. Wash the fruit and cut wedges of orange and lime. Squeeze the juice from the wedges into the pitcher and drop them in. Use the small end of your melon baller to make balls from the apple. Two to three balls per serving is enough. Drop in your cherries.
