Crafters know that staying organized is a key to getting projects done easily and efficiently. One of the most challenging items to organize are spools of ribbon. This simple and inexpensive idea will keep your ribbon organized and easy to access. Similar items sell for around $20 at crafting stores, but you can make your own for nearly free. First, you need to determine what size of shoe box will best fit your needs for ribbon storage. The size that I have found that works best is a regular women’s shoe box. Using your ruler or straight edge you need to create the template for cutting with your knife. You will want 1 straight line cut out of each side of the box that is about 1/2 inch wide. Once you have the lines traced onto the box, you are ready to use your exacto knife to carefully cut out the dispenser slots.
