This cake is simple to make and not too sweet. It is perfect with a cup of tea or coffee and, if you like cinnamon, it is a winner. Heat the oven to 400 degrees. Butter an 8 inch square cake pan. Make the topping first by mashing together, the 6 tablespoons of granulated sugar, the 3 tablespoons of butter, (cut up) the three tablespoons of flour, and the tablespoon of cinnamon. Use a fork and stir up the mixed ingredients so they form a pile of crumbs. Set aside. Blend together the 1 1/2 cups of flour, the 1 tablespoon of baking powder, the 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and the 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Add to the above mixture, the 2 tablespoons of butter. Using your fingers, crumble the mixture together gently, until the butter is totally incorporated and there are no lumps. Beat the egg well and to it add enough milk to make one cup of liquid. Add this to the above flour mixture and stir in well. Transfer this to the buttered pan. Sprinkle the top of the cake evenly with the cinnam
