The brain is only one organ, but it has several regions that function together and individually for language, reasoning, behavior, personality and creativity. Making a brain model will help you learn more about its sections and functions. You can make a model out of cake, or with flesh-toned gelatin. Spray the oven-proof glass bowl with a light coating of cooking spray. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Fill the glass bowl two-thirds full of cake mix and bake until done. Cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Immediately remove cake from glass bowl while still very hot and press into the brain mold. Allow to cool completely and remove cake from mold. The cake should now be the shape of the brain. Thoroughly wash and dry the brain mold.
