How Do You Make A Trellis Yarn Necklace?
Trellis Yarn is a colorful, shiny ribbon yarn with a lace pattern (see link in Resources). Because of its delicacy and airy look, it can make a lovely necklace. Making this unique piece of jewelry is simple and inexpensive. In fact, while a crocheting hook is suggested, it’s not even necessary. You can make the whole thing with just a ball of yarn and your own two hands. Measure out about an arm’s length of yarn (but don’t cut the yarn). Create a slip knot. Start crocheting with the chain stitch. Pull the yarn through the knot’s loop which will create another loop. You can use a crochet hook if you like, but it’s not necessary. Pull the yarn through the second loop, which creates yet another loop. Pull the yarn through this third loop, and continue this way. Chain 100 stitches. On the final stitch, pull the remaining yarn all the way through, and measure another arm’s length of yarn for the next piece. On this second piece, chain 90 stitches.
