Perfumes–even designer fragrances–may include a large amount of alcohol. If you’re allergic or hypersensitive to alcohol, you’ll need to find a perfume without alcohol, but this can be difficult to do. The easiest thing to do is to make it yourself; here’s how. Mix ¼ cup of almond oil with 6 drops of essential oil. The essential oil can be any scent you like, from cinnamon and rose to orange and lemon. Pour this mixture into a dark bottle with a lid or cap. Since you’ll need to shake the bottle periodically, you need to make sure there’s a lid. Shake the bottle at least once a day to make sure everything is combined. Place the bottle in a cool, dry place for at least a week. Some people say you can leave it for less time, but the resulting scent really isn’t very strong.
