How Do You Make Amazing Caramel Popcorn?
This is a recipe that is made almost daily around here. It is affordable and easy. And it transports well to family or school functions. I used to have to go the fairs or the amusement parks for such great flavor. Now I can enjoy anytime I want. Oh, and just to let you know. It won’t last long. So make plenty! Boil brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, and salt over medium heat in a saucepan for 5 minutes. I’ve used both light and dark corn syrup, and light and dark brown sugar. All work equally well. Next add the vanilla and baking soda. Stir together and remove from heat. Place popcorn in a large brown paper bag. Pour caramel over top. Fold over top of bag and shake until coated. Put in large pan and bake for 1 hour at 225 degrees. Stir a few times during baking. Enjoy!
