How Do You Make An Artificial Calla Lily Bouquet?
The sculpturesque quality of the calla lily’s single petal wrapping around the stamen makes the flower a graceful centerpiece for a table. Putting several of these beauties together can make quite a striking bouquet. Since a fresh bouquet can’t last long, you can make your own artificial calla lilies out of crepe paper and floral stem wire. Cut an oval from a length of white crepe paper that is 4 inches tall. Cut one end of the oval so it comes to a point and forms the petal. Cut a strip of yellow crepe paper 5 inches long to form the stamen. Apply a thin layer of glue along one side. Fold in half so it measures 2 1/2 inches high and press firmly to set the glue. Cut the floral stem wire to the desired height of your final bouquet plus an extra 2 inches for wrapping around the stamen and petal. Glue a small dot of glue at the rounded end of the oval. Orient the stamen so the fold occurs at the top. Attach the stamen at the bottom of the oval to form the flower. Press and hold together
