How Do You Make Apple-Cinnamon Dough Ornaments?

0

Make some of these fragrant ornaments to hang on your tree this year! This project is so easy…my 7-year old did most of the work while I snapped pictures! Gather your materials. With spoon, mix the applesauce and the glue together in bowl. Add cinnamon to mixture a little at a time. Knead the dough with your hands until smooth and form a ball. If your dough is too sticky, add more cinnamon. If it’s too dry, add more applesauce. It may take a bit of experimenting to get the dough just right. On a sheet of wax paper, roll out dough with rolling pin to desired thickness (about 1/4″). Cut out shape with cookie cutter. Poke a hole in top of shape with a straw so that you can hang your ornament. Lift up ornament with spatula and transfer to a cookie sheet lined with wax paper to dry. Let ornaments dry 2-3 days, turning over occassionally. Thread ribbon, yarn or raffia through hole. Tie ends together to form hanger. Hang on Christmas tree or use as a decorative air freshener! Enjoy!!
