How Do You Make Arroz Con Leche (Mexican Rice Pudding)?

0

To make the famous Arroz Con Leche recipe or also known as Sticky Sweet Rice, you will need very little ingredients for this delicious treat. The recipe serves about 10 people total, so this will last you quite some time to eat. Whenever I make Mexican Rice Pudding, I always add a hint of cinnamon for extra flavor but that is really up to you. Before you make your Arroz Con Leche, be sure to invite your guests over to enjoy this with you! Fill up a large pot with 3 cups of rice and 4 cups of water. Always make sure you wash your rice before cooking it though. Put your stove on medium high so it boils, just enough to cook the rice without burning it. Leave the rice in for about 25 minutes. Once the rice is finished, turn it on low heat. Pour in 5-6 cups of milk and add 4 spoons of sugar. You can also use already sweetened milk called “La Lechera” from the supermarket. This will give your Sticky Sweet Rice a more unique flavor to it. Use about 5 tablespoons in your Mexican Rice Pudding.
