How Do You Make Bacardi Rum Cake?
This recipe was handed down to me from my grandmother and her mother before her and so on for four generations along with hundreds of others in handwritten books of recipes collected over the years. I hope you enjoy it and view my other recipes. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan or 12 inch bundt pan. You can use another kind of pan but I don’t suggest it unless you can time the baking time for different pans by yourself, I never could. Sprinkle nuts on the bottom of the pan. You can also put other things like raisins if you want. Mix all cake ingredients together and beat until smooth. Pour batter over the nuts in the pan. Bake for 1 hour. Set on rack to cool, invert on a serving plate. Prick the top of the cake with a toothpick in several places evenly and pour 5 Teaspoons of biccardi dark rum directly onto the cake. Serve.
