How Do You Make Bean Bags For Bean Bag Toss?

Tossing a bean bag is a popular game for children and adults. Throwing small bags filled with dried beans a short distance into holes in a board challenges the skill of any person. Keep a set of bean bags handy, or give them as gifts or prizes. Measure and cut the contrasting fabric for one set into 16 squares, 5 ½ inches-by-5 ½ inches. Do the same for the second contrasting fabric to make 16 squares the same size. When completed, you will have two sets of eight bags each. Turn two squares of the same fabric right side in, aligned together. Using the sewing machine threaded with white thread, straight stitch ¼ inch from the edge on four sides, leaving a 2-inch space open and not stitched. Do the same for all the fabric pieces. Turn each bag right side out, using the point of the scissors to make clean, pointed corners. Iron each bag flat. Fill each bag with ¾ cup dried Navy beans. Set aside so the openings are facing up. With a needle threaded with white thread, slip stitch the opening
