Candy cane reindeer are easy to make and inexpensive enough to make many at once. Not only do they delight children at Christmas, they can be used to decorate a Christmas tree. You can also place them as favors on a holiday table or tie them into the ribbon that wraps a gift under the tree. Children as young as six years old can learn how to make them following these simple directions. Hold the wrapped candy cane so that the hook is on top. The curve at the top of the hook is the top of the candy cane reindeer’s head. The short end of the hook is the reindeer’s face. Place a dot of craft glue near the short end of the hook in the middle of the candy for the reindeer’s little red nose that glows like Rudolph’s did when he had to guide Santa’s sleigh that very dark Christmas Eve night in the story.
