Microwave ovens make it easier than ever to make chocolate-covered pretzels from truffles. While you can use a double-boiler to melt the trufffles the old-style way, using a microwave saves time on clean-up and works just as well. The things you need to gather before you begin are:

  • 1 bag of pretzels, sticks or twisted
  • 1 package of truffles, pick you favorite flavor
  • Microwave safe bowl
  • Spoon
  • Wax paper

The steps to follow are:

  1. Fill the bowl about half-way full with truffles.
  2. Microwave the truffles on high heat for between 10 and 15 seconds.
  3. Stir the melted truffles. If not completely melted, microwave for 10 more seconds. Do not over-heat the trufles because excessive heat will scorch the chocolate and change the flavor.
  4. Spread the wax paper – about two feet long – on a flat area. Set the bowl of melted truffles beside the wax paper.
  5. Dip the pretzels in the melted truffles, and place on the wax paper until the chocolate sets up. Leave a small area of each pretzel uncoated so you can handle the pretzels without getting your fingers in the chocolate.

Even you can make deliciously easy chocolate-covered pretzels following these easy few steps! • Buy a big bag of pretzels or pretzel sticks. • Melt a bag of Lindor or generic truffles in the microwave. • Dip your pretzels in the melted truffle chocolate; then roll in your favorite toppings. • Stick the pretzels in the refrigerator until chocolate is solid. Eat and enjoy.
