How Do You Make Chocolate Dipped Dog Biscuits?
Chocolate-dipped cookies are a tasty treat, and you may want to share them with your dog by creating chocolate-dipped dog biscuits. Unfortunately, chocolate contains a substance called theobromine that is toxic to dogs and can cause serious illness or even death. Instead of dipping the homemade dog biscuits in chocolate, use melted carob chips. The flavor is similar to chocolate and your dog will never know the difference. Stir together 1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup cornmeal, 2/3 cup nonfat powdered milk and 1 cup old-fashioned oats in a large mixing bowl. Form a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour 1/2 cup melted bacon fat or one stick of melted butter into the center of the well. Add 3/4 cup of water and 1 egg to the well.
