How Do You Make Clothes From Duct Tape?
Clothing made from duct tape can be stylish and creative. High school students have won college scholarships for creating duct-tape prom garb, and duct-tape clothes have shown up in couture fashion shows and avant garde art projects for years. Instead of enduring the pain of taping yourself up, create duct-tape “fabric” that can be shaped into any clothing item you desire. Decide what item of clothing you want to make. Obtain a sewing pattern or template to find out how many yards of “fabric” you need to create. Cut one long strip of duct tape. Lay it down on a flat surface, sticky side up. Place another long strip of duct tape next to the other, sticky side up. Be sure the edges overlap slightly. Continue to add strips until you create a sheet the width of your fabric requirement. Place a strip of duct tape, sticky side down, across the length of your large sheet. The sticky sides of the tape will be facing each other, creating a nonsticky exterior. Continue to place strips of duct ta
