Here’s the easy to create recipe for crafty cinnamon cookie ornaments that you can make for your Christmas tree. In a bowl combine cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Stir in applesauce and glue. Work mixture with hands for 2-3 minutes to form a ball. If mixture is too dry, add more applesauce. If the mixture is too wet, add cinnamon. Knead on a cinnamon sprinkled surface until dough holds together well. Divide into 4 portions. Roll out each to a 1/4″ thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on cookie sheet. Use a pencil to make a small hole in top for hanging. Air dry ornament, turn over from time to time to ensure drying. (4-5 days)When dry insert ribbon through hole. Decorate with puff paint or glitter.
