Crafty cinnamon cookie ornaments are easy to make and are fun to make with your children or grandchildren. Just make the dough, cut with cookie cutters, dry and decorate. Here’s the easy to create recipe for crafty cinnamon cookie ornaments that you can make for your Christmas tree. In a bowl combine cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Stir in applesauce and glue. Work mixture with hands for 2-3 minutes to form a ball. If mixture is too dry, add more applesauce. If the mixture is too wet, add cinnamon. Knead on a cinnamon sprinkled surface until dough holds together well. Divide into 4 portions. Roll out each to a 1/4″ thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on cookie sheet. Use a pencil to make a small hole in top for hanging. Air dry ornament, turn over from time to time to ensure drying. (4-5 days)When dry insert ribbon through hole. Decorate with puff paint or glitter.
