Making Duct Tape Wallets Step 1 Cut several strips of duct tape that are about 8-inches long. Lay the first strip horizontally with the sticky side up. Lay the next strip with the sticky side down, halfway down the first strip, also horizontally. Flip it over and lay the next strip, sticky side down, on the still exposed sticky half of that piece of tape. Fold the sticky part of the very top strip over to create an edge.
