Candy flowers are cheerful decorations for cakes, cookies, squares and decorative wreaths or centerpieces. Flowers can be placed directly onto a dessert or adhered with frosting to a wreath or cone shaped foam piece for birthdays, parties and holidays. Flowers that are formed on a round toothpick can be easily inserted into the dessert or craft project to create a bouquet. You can make colorful edible flowers out of candy or Fruit Roll-Ups with easy techniques. Spread a piece of wax or parchment paper on to your work surface. Place gumdrops on a plate at the side of the paper. Choose a colored gumdrop and set it on to the paper. Press the top of the gumdrop down with your thumb or the back of a large spoon until it flattens out.
