How Do You Make Edible Playdough…With Kool-Aid?
Playdough is a favorite craft activity for many children. When you want to have a natural product for your child to play with consider making playdough from ingredients found in your kitchen. To start, bring the water to a boil in a medium sauce pan. Once boiling, turn off the burner to allow the water to cool down a bit. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, cream of tartar and Kool-Aid together. Then, slowly add the vegetable oil to the flour mixture, stirring gently. Once the vegetable oil is blended, pour in the hot water and continue to mix. This will form a solid dough. When it is all mixed, allow it some time to cool. When the dough is cool enough to comfortably handle, knead it until it is smooth and easy to manipulate. Now the dough is ready for the children to play! When not using the dough store it in the refrigerator.
