How Do You Make Fabulous Valentine Boxes?
Turn an ordinary box into a lovely card box for your sweetie on Valentine’s Day. If you can imagine it, you can make it in an hour with items you have around your house. Plan your design. With strips of paper and lengths of ribbon, you are free to layer them on the box in a random pattern, or you can be more architectural by doing a simple basket weave. Set your embellishments aside to use after you have completely covered your box. Turn the bottom of the box over and begin gluing strips of paper and bits of ribbon on the bottom side, wrapping them up over the edge and up the sides. This will give you a clean bottom edge that looks finished. Continue alternating paper strips and ribbons in a pattern, working up over the sides and wrapping over the top just inside the open edges. Use the same process for the lid and cover it completely. Paint on a thin coat of decoupage liquid over the entire covered surface, including under the bottom and inside the box and lid.
