How Do You Make Fringed Fleece Baby Blankets?

0

A warm blanket for a baby to snuggle in is a welcomed gift, and so easy to make you’ll want to make a big one for yourself. Polar fleece comes in a huge array of colors, designs and patterns to choose from, and it is soft enough for a baby’s skin. Cut the fleece into two pieces that are 36 inches by 30 inches. You could also use two half-yard lengths of two different fleece patterns. Layer the two pieces of fleece on top of each other. Measure up three inches from one end and pin the measuring tape across the fleece at this point. Use the wooden ruler as a straight edge, and move it half an inch at a time along the measuring tape to cut fringe along the edge at half-inch intervals. Tie the pieces of fringe that are on top of each other, one from the top layer and one from the bottom, in square knots all along that edge. Unpin the measuring tape, and repeat the process on the opposite edge, and then on the other two sides.
