My Grandma always thought of ways to make us grandkids smile and put her personalized touch on everything. She used to personalize her eggs she gave to her grandkids by enclosing a special message in the shell. With a sharp needle or pin poke a small hole in the small end of the egg and a larger hole in the large end. Puncture the egg yolk with the needle inserted in the larger hole, Hold the egg over the sink and blow softly through the small hole to draw the egg out. After all the raw egg is removed, carefully and gently rinse the shells. Decorate the outsides of the shells in any way you wish and with any materials: dyes, paints, ribbons, lace, markers, glitter, sequins, etc. my grandma use to write are names on the outside of our eggs and things that was of interest to us. Write personal messages on small pieces of paper that can be rolled tightly and inserted through the larger hole into the egg.
