How Do You Make Great Homemade BBQ Sauce?

0

You can’t beat homemade BBQ sauce – store bought sauce just doesn’t compare! I’ve made this sauce many times and it is always a crowd pleaser. I usually use it on grilled pork ribs, but you can use it on anything! It keeps for a number of days in the fridge. Step 1 Buy all ingredients listed above that you don’t have at the store. The recipe makes about 2 1/2 cups, so if you need to make more, be sure to buy extra ingredients. Step 2 Prep all ingredients for cooking. Step 3 Warm the oil on medium beat in a saucepan. Add the onion and garlic and cook gently, stirring, for about 5 minutes. Add the ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, chili powder and cayenne, to taste (the more cayenne you use, the hotter it will be). Step 4 Reduce the heat and simmer, partially covered, until the sauce has thickened slightly, about 20 minutes. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
