Recycle or use papers in an unusual way by making handmade wall hangings. It is a wonderful way to creatively keep reusable trash out of the landfills and teach children the possibilities of using recyclables. Transform a brown paper grocery bag and paper doilies into a fake leather and lace wall hanging for your home. This project can be created in an afternoon and is an easy craft for children to accomplish successfully. Cut off the bottom of a large paper grocery bag. Cut the bag open at the back seam and lay flat. Measure and cut a 16-inch square from the paper bag. Crumple the square and immerse in a bowl of water. Allow the paper to soak for a couple of minutes. Remove the paper and wring out the water out by balling up the paper. Carefully open the paper and smooth it out on your ironing surface.
