How Do You Make Healthy, Spicy Oven Fries?

Everyone loves French fries, but who loves all that fat? This article will show you how to make healthy oven fries with a kick! Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Wash the potatoes and make sure to remove any eyes or rotted spots with a knife, before cutting into wedges. Thickness of the wedges depends on your personal preference, but thicker wedges will take slightly longer to cook. Wedges should be 1/2 inch to 1 inch thick. Place potatoes in a large mixing bowl or resealable plastic bag. Drizzle olive oil over the potatoes, just enough to provide a light coating. In a separate bowl, mix together spices and salt. Add spice mixture a bit at a time, until potatoes are evenly coated (you may not need to use all of the spice mixture). On a nonstick baking sheet, or a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, pour the potatoes and arrange in a single layer. Cook at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes (flip potatoes after 10-15 minutes), depending on desired crispness.
