This is such a great alternative to traditional stuffing and is definitely a tradition at our house for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is absolutely delicious, moist and has a great flavor combination. Your guests will definitely rave about this recipe. ENJOY! Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spread the bread cubes evenly on the baking sheet. Bake them for 7 minutes or until lightly toasted. Move toasted bread cubes to a large bowl. In a large heavy pan, cook the sausage and onions over medium heat, stirring until evenly browned. Drain the grease and add the celery, sage, and thyme; cook, stirring, for 3 minutes. Pour sausage mixture over bread in bowl. Mix in chopped apples, cranberries, parsley, and the egg. Pour turkey stock and melted butter on top and mix lightly. Spoon into turkey or bake in a 2 quart sized baking dish at 375 (covered) for 35-40 minutes. Uncover the last 15 minutes.
