How Do You Make Homemade Play Dough (Play Doh ®) In A Stand Mixer?
Want to have fun with your kids and save money at the same time? Make your own play dough! You can make large quantities for parties or gifts. As an added bonus, you have the comfort of knowing exactly what is in that stuff little Jimmy decided to eat for a snack. Place seven cups of flour, the salt, and cream of tartar in the mixer bowl. Mix them together. Place the dough hook onto your mixer. Set the power level to 2. Add the hot water and oil to the flour. Note if making the play dough all one color, you can add the food color to the water now. Allow the dough to knead for 5-6 minutes. Add more flour if you need the playdough to be softer. If you want separate colors, wait to add the food coloring until after the play dough forms. You can then knead in the colors as you wish.
