How Do You Make Inkjet Print Head Cleaning Solution?

0

Print heads in a printer may become clogged if they aren’t used regularly. If they remain inactive for too long, the ink will dry up in the small holes and form a barrier that ink is incapable of passing through. When this occurs, a simple cleaning solution can be used to fix the problem. With just a few common household materials and about 10 minutes of your time, you can restore your printer to working condition. Rinse out a 16 oz. jar with water to make sure any residual food or dust is completely gone. Fill the jar with water, 1 tbsp. rubbing alcohol and a drop of liquid dish soap. Stir the contents with a spoon to thoroughly mix them. Dip a cotton ball halfway into the cleaning solution and pull it out. Let any excess liquid drip off of the cotton ball. Hold the cotton ball against the printer head for 10 minutes. The solution will break up any blockages in the head. Pat the printer head dry with a paper towel.
