How Do You Make Large Bows For Christmas Trees & Wreaths?

0

Decorate with large bows during the holidays. You can place large bows on wreaths, front doors or on top of your Christmas tree. Different ribbon widths will give you a different effect, so decide how wide you want your bow to be. The wider the ribbon, the larger the bow. If using ribbon to decorate outside trees and wreaths, stiffer ribbon holds up better in winter weather conditions. Make a large loop by pinching the ribbon. Leave the tail as long as you want it to be. Form loops continuously until the bow reaches the desired fullness. Leave enough ribbon to make the second tail. Secure the bow with craft wire. To make a larger, fuller bow, make a second bow and use the craft wire to attach them together. Or, for a Christmas tree topper, add two more ribbon tails with craft wire to the back side of the bow. Then when you hang it on your tree, you’ll have two tails in front and two in back.
