Determine the correct size for your floor cushions. Most people like to make large floor cushions about the size of body pillows so they can comfortably lie on the floor and be totally supported by the cushion. The exact size will depend upon what you are looking for, but should be large enough to accommodate and support you. Lay out the pattern for the top and bottom panel of your cushion case onto the pattern paper. Use a measuring tape and marking pen to make sure that all of the sides of your pattern are equal and proportionate. Trace the pattern from the paper onto the actual fabric. You can use small pushpins to hold the pattern paper in place while you carefully trace the pattern onto the fabric. Be careful not to accidentally tear your pattern paper while tracing.
