The P2P, or “Person to Person,” program LimeWire will let you download files from other users who decide to share them online. If you’re connection is slow, or if their connection isn’t as fast as you’d like, downloading a file from another user can take quite a while, depending on the size. That’s why you may want to download a program that can assist that speed. Step 1 Visit a Web page that has a download accelerator available. An example is LimeWire Turbo Accelerator (see Resources). Step 2 Download the program by clicking on the “Download Now!” link. Then click on “Save As” to begin downloading the installation file. Step 3 Open the installation file once it downloads. It should be in your default download folder. This will let you pick a directory for the program and install there. Step 4 Open LimeWire and the Accelerator program. Click on the “Accelerate!” button to begin making LimeWire downloads go faster.
