How Do You Make Middle Eastern Tabouli?
Tabouli is a middle-eastern salad dish, thought to have its origins in Lebanon. It’s a wonderful healthy dish. It’s often served with lamb or falafel and hummus. It’s also a great salad to add to any rolled sandwich, whether on regular bread, pita bread or even in a burrito wrapper. Step 1 Put the bulgur in a bowl and cover it with boiling water. Let it stand for 45 minutes. Step 2 Drain the bulgur, squeeze out the remaining water and put it in a serving bowl. You can use your hands to squeeze out the remaining water, or press down with a spatula. Step 3 Add the scallions, mint, cucumber, carrots, tomatoes, parsley and carrots to the bulgur mixture. Toss all ingredients gently. Step 4 Add the olive oil and stir. Step 5 Add lemon juice, salt and pepper. Stir until mixed.
