How Do You Make Napkin Applique Easter Eggs?
Decorating Easter eggs is practically a mandatory project in most homes during the spring season. Most commonly, boiled eggs are decorated with food coloring, magic markers and stickers; however, if you are ready for a more advanced and beautiful method of decorating Easter eggs, it is time to try napkin applique. Applique eggs are so beautiful, you will want them on display all year long. Poke 2 holes in either end of raw egg very carefully with a straight pin. One hole should be just slightly larger than the other, but be careful not to make either too big. Hold the egg over a bowl and gently blow through the smaller hole until the egg is empty. Wipe away any egg left on the shell and set it in a safe place to dry. Separate the layers of a napkin. If you are using decorative white napkins, only use the top decorative layer, however if the bottom layers are colored you may want to use them as well.
