How Do You Make New Orleans-Style Coffee At Home?
If you’re a fan of a good strong cup of coffee then the traditional New Orleans blend of French Roast and Chicory will be a real treat for you! To make this blend of coffee brew 1 heaping Tablespoon of coffee to each cup of water-then add another pinch of coffee for good measure! Warm your Cream or Milk. Traditionally this coffee is served as cafe au lait– or coffee with milk. What makes it as luscious as it is is that the cream or milk is warmed first enabling a smooth blending of both liquids. In your heavy bottomed pot pour a cup or cup and half (amount dependent upon the amount 0f coffee being made)of the cream or milk and set on a burner turned onto medium low heat.
