Since I have started making homemade cranberry sauce, it has become a tradition. My kids will not eat anything else now. No more of the cans to open and slice. Start your own traditions at Christmas and I hope you include this one in your recipe box. peel oranges (do not include the white rind, make sure you get only the peel) I like to finely dice the orange peel up and about 1/2 tsp of the lemon zest. Add water, sugar, diced orange and lemon peel together in small pot. Bring to boil and then simmer for about 30 minutes (need to let the peels really soften) Wash cranberries in sink, picking out the bad cranberries, and add to the softened orange & lemon peel. Add cinnamon sticks, & ground cloves, and juice of the 2 oranges and the lemon being careful not to include the seeds. Simmer for an additional 30 minutes keeping a check to make sure that it is becoming thick. At the end of the cooking process remove the cinnamon sticks, transfer to a nice service dish and enjoy your new traditi
