Creating your own outdoor ribbon flower is similar to creating an indoor ribbon flower. The only differences are that outdoor flowers tend to be larger than indoor and require outdoor ribbon to create. Outdoor ribbon is any type of weatherproof ribbon. Weatherproof means it is water repellent, resists fading in the sun and can withstand mild wind. Take the end of the outdoor ribbon and measure in 1 inch. Leaving the 1 inch tail loose, gather the ribbon into a 5 inch long loop. Keeping the first loop pinched together with your fingers, gather the ribbon into another 5 inch long loop.
