How Do You Make Oven Kalua Pork ~ A Hawaiian Favorite?

0

This is an easy recipe for making Kalua Pork in your oven. It is not only simple to make but very tasty! First prepare the pork roast. You will rub the entire roast with liquid smoke and Hawaiian salt. (Do not use regular salt as this will make the roast way to salty.) Once the roast is covered, wrap in a couple of layers of tinfoil and place in a roasting pan. (If you have Ti or Banana leaves available, you may wrap your roast in those – although foil works just fine.) Place the roast in a preheated 250 degree oven and cook for approximately 5 to 7 hours depending on how large the roast is. Once the roast is done, take a fork and shred the pork apart. It should pull apart with very little effort. Sprinkle a small amount of Hawaiian salt over the shredded pork and serve with rice and Lomi Lomi Salmon. Very Tasty!!
