Using a fork break up any lumps in your flour and whisk into your pan drippings until it becomes a light golden brown in color – approximately 1 ½ to 2 minutes. Now whisk in your 2 cups of stock or broth, whisking continuously until your pan gravy boils and starts to thicken. Reduce heat to a simmer and stir occasionally for a few more minutes. You can now whisk into your pan gravy both the salt and pepper for added seasoning, if needed. If your homemade pan gravy recipe appears too lumpy you can use a sieve to strain out the lumps, if so desired.
