How Do You Make Pasta With Sausage And Broccoli Rabe?
SO easy and so good. I make this dish at least once every 2 weeks, it’s a crowd pleasure. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add in the broccoli rabe and cook until tender. When done, with tongs, take out and place into a bowl filled with ice and cold water, this keeps the color and prevents it from cooking any longer. Now drop the pasta in the water and cook for about 8 minutes. Drain and reserve 1 cup of the pasta water. Meantime, in a large skillet, and on medium heat, add a bit of olive oil. Allow to get very hot and drop in ground sausage. You can break it up using a fork or potato masher. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté’ for about 10 minutes all together. Now add in the broccoli rabe. Toss so all the flavors blend together. Add in your pasta and mix well. Ladle in some water, eye ball it, to add moisture. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve and top with grated cheese.
