How Do You Make Perfect Gourmet Cranberry-Orange Holiday Relish?
How many think making your own cranberry relish is not only time consuming but a hassle that may come out too sour or too sweet? I have a foolproof method for perfect gourmet cranberry orange relish that you can make in a snap! Fill your saucepan with fresh cranberries and enough water and let them boil. They will split and rise to the top. They will absorb water and start to look like cranberry sauce. Lower heat to medium and add your jar of Orange Marmalade adda dash (about half a shotglass) Cointreau or Grand Marnier and a cinnamon stick or a sprinkling of cinnamon. Bring it to a slow boil again then let it simmer for at least a half hour. Taste. It should be both tangy and sweet, with the cinnamon and orange liqueur enhancing the flavor of the cranberries. (The wonderful aroma of the three flavors will permeate your kitchen as well.) Serve warm or chill in a crystal dish.
