How Do You Make Personalized Blankets For Teens?
Teens may want us to think they’re all grown up, but the fact is that they still like it when we give them fun gifts. Personalized gifts are even better. You can easily make a personalized blanket for your teen, and it’s something she will cherish for years to come. Lay out some plain squares of fabric. It’s best if you make them about 1 foot square. You can make them in your teen’s school colors or whatever her favorite is. Determine how many squares you will need to fill up the blanket. Generally, a blanket should be about 5 by 7 feet, but if you’d like to make it travel-sized, make it 3 by 4 feet. Cut shapes out of the old T-shirts. For example, if your teen had a shirt from the year she played volleyball, cut out the part with the volleyball logo. Or cut out a square around the band’s name on that concert shirt she outgrew. Use the Heat-n-Bond or spray adhesive to attach the T-shirt pieces to the squares. Cover about half of the fabric squares with T-shirt pieces. Use your computer
