In just a few simple steps, you can create a pair of polymer clay ladybug earrings to wear. Keep them for yourself, or give them to a friend. Condition the polymer clay by rolling it between your palms. This will heat the clay, making it easier to work with. Roll a log of red polymer clay between the palm of your hand and the ceramic tile until it is approximately 3/8 inch thick. Cut two identical slices with the craft knife, approximately 3/16 inch thick. Use your finger to press the clay into an oval shape. Make a vertical indentation in the middle of the ladybug’s back using the edge of a tapestry needle. This will give the illusion that the ladybug has wings. Cut oval-shaped spots using the black polymer clay and place them on the ladybug’s back. Form the ladybug’s head out of black polymer clay and use scraps of yellow polymer clay for its eyes.
