Imagine, Chex, chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar…all in one! Puppy chow is a chocolate treat for humans, not for puppies. It is called puppy chow because of the way it looks after it is done, but it is absolutely delicious! Step 1 Pour Chex cereal into a large bowl. Step 2 Melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter and 1/4 c. butter in a small saucepan on the stove. Mix while you melt. It is really easy to burn chocolate when melting it. After all the chocolate and butter is melted stir in the vanilla extract. Step 3 Take the melted chocolate mix off of the stove and pour it over the Chex cereal that you have in a large bowl. Grab a large brown paper bag (a paper grocery bag that has not been dirtied or used). Pour the chex cereal with the chocolate mix on top into the brown paper bag.
